Our story

From our family farm to your snack cupboard

The Green Bag comes from a family farm outside Tzaneen in Limpopo, South Africa.

Dried while still fresh

Our mangoes are dried while they are still fresh. Drying the fruit soon after it comes off the tree helps conserve its natural flavour and gives the finished mango a texture that stays soft rather than becoming excessively dry.

That is the whole idea behind The Green Bag: mango that tastes like mango. There is no sugar added — nothing else goes into the bag.

A snack that suits real life

Dried mango is a high-fibre fruit snack, and it happens to be very convenient. It keeps well, it travels well and it doesn't need a fridge, which makes it particularly well suited to children's lunchboxes, work bags, road trips and long afternoons.

Proudly South African

Everything in the bag is grown and dried here in South Africa. We sell directly to households across the country, and you'll also find us on the shelves of a handful of independent stockists.
